BIONIC Hill supports the decision to grant Belychanskyi forest a conservation status

Ukraine’s first innovation park BIONIC Hill (Kyiv) supports Belychanskyi forest to be granted the status of the National Nature Park (NNP).  This solution will preserve woodlands as well as facilitate the project.
“BIONIC Hill is located on the former military base territory near Belychanskyi forest.  Extension of Holosiyvsky National Nature Park by lands of public utility “Svyatoshynske Lisoparkove Gospodarstvo” (Svyatoshyn Forestry) will protect the forest situated nearby our site from the illegal construction and increase the project’s attractiveness.  We have always stood for environmental protection. Apart from the unconditional social value that Belychanskyi forest represents, it is also our competitive advantage.  Companies with a worldwide reputation are concerned about ecological harmony of the project in terms of the business DNA and corporate social responsibility”, - says President of BIONIC Hill Victor Galasyuk.
He recalled that BIONIC Hill was the first in Ukraine to apply global environmental certification system of green building The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED). The leading experts in LEED-sphere were involved: American AECOM (preliminary assessment and consulting) and a certifying company ECON. The leading international and Ukrainian architects, engineers and designers in particular, CAS Pashenko, Hornberger+Worstell, ARUP and SWA Group were involved to work on the park concept. The projects’ geography of these companies includes the USA, Great Britain, France, China etc. International experts took part in development of numerous significant projects in the Silicon Valley (the USA).
“We welcome the idea of granting Belychanskyi forest a conservation status and we are looking forward for a quick signing of the corresponding Decree by the President. This solution allows to protect the forest. Construction of innovation park, in its turn, opens a formerly closed military area for the community”, - Victor Galasyuk noted.
